FAIR OFFICERS

Alex Cox
President
Alex is the President for the 2023-2024 Season. This is a role he has played since the fall of 2021. He was elected as president in the winter of 2023. He is the son of Board Member, Doug Cox. So, Alex has been around the fair for several years and grew up helping in a number of ways. Alex and Doug co-chair the truck and tractor pulls. This year, Alex has helped a lot with advertising and he continues to work with the track events, maintenance and fair preparation.

William Wallace Evans
VICE PRESIDENT, Charter Member & FFA Rep.
William Wallace is the former FFA Representative (also a retired FFA teacher of the Taylor County High School) for the Fair Board since it was started in 1997. He has played a key role in FFA involvement and all agriculture related events and activities at the Fair. William Wallace was responsible for the inception of the Taylor County Youth Fair Board, which was the state's first. For many years he has managed the pit gate entrance to the Fairgrounds and has assisted in grounds preparation and maintenance as well. William Wallace served as Vice President 2015-2016. And in 2016, he became the chair for the Beef and Dairy Shows, a role which he continues to manage. During the winter of 2023 he was elected as Vice President. During the 2024 Kentucky Association of Fairs & Horse Show William Wallace was awarded the William F. Taylor Lifetime Community Service Award.

Tiffany Browning
Secretary
Tiffany became a board member in 2013 after moving up from the Taylor County Junior Fair Board. Tiffany came to the Fair Board with a good working knowledge as she had served on the Kentucky State Fair Young Adult Project Youth Advisory Council. During her committment there, she served on the Media Committee and Battle of the Bands. She has spent many years on the Kentucky Equine Education Project Youth Board and served as Secretary, Vice-President and Region Representative. She has also brought experience from both 4-H amd FFA. She presently serves as Taylor County Fair Pageants Director. In 2019 Tiffany became Horse Show Chair, as she has been active for many years with her family in showing American Saddlebreds and she is the granddaughter of board member Anna Lee Johns. In the winter of 2019, Tiffany was elected as the board's Secretary.

Patty Evans
Treasurer
Patty is very familiar with the workings of our fair: She is a former charter member and is married to board member William Wallace Evans. Since Patty retired as a DECA teacher in the Taylor County School system and brings marketing and business experience with her. She stays very busy with her duties as treasurer. Patty is active with different organizations in our county including the Heistand House and Retired Teachers. Patty was elected as treasurer in the fall of 2018 and adds advertising to her list of Fair Board duties.

Helen Canada
Charter Member, IN LOVING MEMORY
IN LOVING MEMORY: Helen passed away in the fall of 2017. Helen had been a member of the Board since 1997. She provided invaluable service to the Fair over the years. She was married to board member, Utah Canada. They donated time and equipment through their business, Canada and Sons Excavating to improve and repair the grounds. Both were active in supporting youth and community activities that take place at the Fair and have also had roles in motorsports events through the years and assist in grounds preparation and maintenance as well. The Canadas were named the Kentucky Fair Person of the Year in 2000, the one and only time in which a couple received this honor.

Utah Canada
Charter Member
Utah has been a member of the Board since 1997 and has provided invaluable service over the years. He was married to board member, Helen Canada, who passed away in the fall of 2017. They have often donated time and equipment through their business, Canada and Sons Excavating to improve and repair the grounds. Both are active in supporting youth and community activities that take place at the Fair and have also had roles in motorsports events through the years and assist in grounds preparation and maintenance as well. The Canadas were Kentucky Fair Person of the Year in 2000.

Anna Lee Johns
Charter Member, IN LOVING MEMORY
IN LOVING MEMORY: Miss Anna Lee passed away in the late summer of 2021. Anna had been a member of the Board since 1997 and has managed the Championship Horse Show and Junior Horse Show every year. The show is named after her late husband, Tommie Johns, who was well known throughout the state for showing American Saddlebred horses. After the horse show, you could find Anna Lee under the food tent cleaning tables. Her family is still very active in showing horses and through their leadership the Tommie Johns Memorial Championship Horse Show continues to grow each year.

Gary Seaborne
Charter Member
Gary has been active with the Fair Board since 1997, along with his wife, Jeannie. He is the former Superintendent of the Taylor County School system and brings a strong business knowledge to the Fair Board. Among other things he assists with the Horse Show along with grounds preparation, maintenance and gate admissions. Gary served on the Grant Committee in the fall of 2017. The Taylor County Fair Association received its first grant monies from the state and will use this to improve the grounds.

Jeannie Seaborne
Charter Member
Jeannie has been active with the Fair Board since 1997. She is married to Fair Board member, Garry Seaborne. Jeannie served as Secretary from 1997 through 2005. In the past, she served as chair of Dancing With the Stars, which Taylor County was a leader in the fast growing event in the state of Kentucky Fairs. Jeannie brought experience with her as Taylor County Fair Pageant Director in the past as she was Kentucky's 1960 Miss Kentucky County Fair. She has also managed the Coca-Cola Talent Classic for many years.

Lisa has also just joined the fair board but like other members she has been volunteering for a few years and you can also find her working in the concessions.

Ricky Taylor
Board Member
Ricky is another member that was just voted on the board. During the fair and other events at the grounds you can find Ricky working on the grill.

Amy Taylor
Board Member
Amy is a new board member as well. During the fair you can find her at the concessions. -
Doug Cox
Board Member
Doug has been on the fair board since 2002 and assists with main track events. He also helps with grounds preparation and maintenance and as a farmer provides valuable insights to the board in regards to agriculture. He has been over the truck and truck pulls for many years. This year Doug and Alex, Board Member and son, co-chair the truck and tractor pulls.

Damon Sallee
Board Member, IN LOVING MEMORY
IN LOVING MEMORY: Damon served on the fair board since 2005 and acted as a liaison between the fair board and the American Legion who owns the fairgrounds. He was involved with the operation of the fair concession stand in previous years and assisted with grounds preparation and maintenance. Damon was known as the "Ice" man, delivering drinks and ice to the food vendors and the gates.

Steve Martin
Board Member
Steve is not new to the Taylor County Fair. He is a former member, who decided to come back on board. In the past, Steve was chair of the cattle events. Upon returning Steve assists with the Beef and Dairy Shows and the various track events. Steve served as President in 2019-2020.

Levi Harmon
Board Member
Levi was voted on in the summer of 2021. He was active at the 2021 Fair and assisted with the Beef and Dairy, Clean up of the grounds and worked the front gate. He is also a volunteer fire fighter. He is a wonderful asset to our fair and community.

Jacob Ford
Board Member
Jacob is one of our newest members. He assists with parking and traffic flow along with ground maintenance.

Charlie Holt
Board Member
Charlie has been a volunteer with track preparations and maintenance for a couple years. In March of 2021, he joined the fair board and continues to work with maintenance and track events.

Brandon Holt
Board Member
Brandon, along with his father Charlie, has helped with track prepartions over the last couple years along with maintence. In March of 2021 he joined the board as a member.

Kathy Milby
Board Member
Kathy has worked the front gate for a number of years as just a volunteer. She was voted on as a member in the summer of 2021. She has always been a great help to the board. In 2022, Kathy chaired our first ever "Masked Singer" competition.

Kimberly Thomas
4h REPRESENTATIVE
Kimberly is our 4H representative and will be working with the local youth with the 4H exhibits.

Andy Hunt
FFA REPRESENTATIVE
Andy is an FFA teacher with the Taylor County High School and is our FFA representative.

Junior Mccubbin
Board Member
Junior was a former member years ago and came back on board in 2017. He and his wife, ran the concession booth. He served as Vice President in 2018-2020 and as President in 2020-2021.

Kathy McCubbin
Board Member
Kathy is the wife of Junior McCubbin. She is very familiar with the fair scene though having been a former fair board member. She has previously ran the concession booth.
Cindy Gilpin
BOARD MEMBER
Cindy is dedicated to the Taylor County Fair. She joined the Junior Fair Board while in high school. Every year since, you can find her at the main gate.

Alex Gilpin
bOARD MEMBER
Alex is an extremely important asset to the Taylor County Fair Association. Since he was 16, he has assisted with the parking and is now considered the "Parking Guy". He trains our new recruits and oversees the parking arrangements.

Larry Strange
Volunteer
Larry has been active with the board since 1999 and has most often been the "voice behind the microphone" as he serves as track announcer and emcee at many of the events at the Fair. In the past, he has also assisted with grounds preparation and maintenance throughout the years.
